The Toshiba TG01 review


The Toshiba TG01 is an amazing phone, fully featured, fast, and user friendly, it is the first phone to feature Qualcomm’s 1GHz Snapdragon processor. It supports quad-band GSM and has a 4.1 inch touchscreen with a QVGA resolution of 800x480. The large display is great for taking pictures with the 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus. It has 256 MB of RAM and supports microSD cards up to 32 GB. The built-in WiFi is great for surfing the web without using your data plan. Built-in Assisted GPS is great for navigation or finding your way home. The Toshiba TG01 runs the Windows Mobile 6.1 OS which means that there are thousands of apps available for it. The TG01 has an average battery life of 4 hours talk time and 220 hours standby time. The phone also has 3G for fast web browsing and other tasks. The TG01 also supports 3D gaming in widescreen VGA. Of course, It also has Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) for connecting to a computer or other mobile device. The micro USB port can also be used to connect to a computer. It measures up at 70x130x9.9mm and weighs 129g. It also features an accelerometer which can be used for gesture operation. For example, you can shake the phone to answer a phone call, tilt the phone left and right to switch between applications, and tap to switch tasks. This makes the Toshiba TG01 very user friendly and great for when you have your hands full. The ultra-thin design makes it great for those of you looking for a stylish phone with lots of features. With the TG01 you can Text message, use MMS services, instant message, and update all of your social networking services so that you are always in touch with your friends. The TG01's large screen is great for watching movies, playing games, web browsing, and more and with the 1GHz processor you can watch movies and play games smoother and faster. The built-in assisted GPS on the Toshiba TG01 lets you say goodbye to your old navigation system and with the large screen you can display detailed maps and get turn-by-turn navigation. The Toshiba TG01 is an overall amazing phone. It is expected to be released on Orange for free with select plans on July 10th. It will also come with an 8 GB microSD card.
