Dell adds Inspiron 17 to its Inspiron lineup


Great news for those of you who really want a 17 inch laptop, Dell has just added the Inspiron 17 to its Inspiron lineup. The base specifications for the Inspiron 17 are an Intel Pentium Dual Core processor with a clock speed of 2.0GHz, Windows Vista Home Basic Edition, a 17.3 inch HD display, a CD/DVD burner, 2GB of RAM, an Intel X4500HD graphics card, wireless 802.11g, a 160GB hard drive, and a 4 cell battery. These are the base specifications which means that you can customize it to have up to an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, Windows Vista Ultimate Edition, 4GB of RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon HD4330 graphics, a 500GB hard drive, an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam, wireless 802.11n, a built-in microphone, a Blu-ray drive, Bluetooth 2.0, and a 9 cell battery. The base specifications of the Inspiron 17 make it great for some older games, web browsing, email, music, videos, DVDs, and more. You can get the Inspiron 17 with the base specifications for $499 and it will ship sometime in August. If you want the full specifications you will have to wait until they become available, no word on when that is.
