Fujifilm FinePix F70 EXR review

The Fujifilm FinePix F70 EXR is a compact camera with lots of zoom. It can take up to 10 megapixel images and has 27 - 270mm lens with 10x wide angle optical zoom. The wide angle is great for group photos because it lets you capture wider photos. This is a lot of zoom for a compact camera. It also has 4x digital zoom which makes the total zoom 40x. Keep in mind that when you use digital zoom it lowers the image quality a lot. The F70 EXR has approximately 47 MB of internal memory and supports SDHC memory cards. It has a 2.7 inch LCD display which is great for taking and viewing images. It also has autofocus and mechanical image stabilization to compensate for camera shake and prevent image blurring. Automatic scene recognition automatically selects the best shooting and capture mode for the conditions. Another feature on the FinePix F70 EXR is face detection for up to 10 faces. Automatic red-eye correction fixes red-eye effects caused by the flash. If you can't decide whether to use flash or not you can just go to natural light and with flash mode and the F70 EXR will take a picture with and without flash so that you can choose one or keep both. The F70 EXR also has movie mode for recording movies with a resolution of up to 640x480 at 30 frames per second. All of the modes an the FinePix F70 EXR let you use it for all kinds of photos and videos, it even has blog mode where it automatically resizes the image for an image or blog so that you can directly upload it. All of the shooting modes let you record in all kinds of conditions. The FinePix F70 EXR uses a Li-ion battery which is great because you don't have to buy tons of AA batteries. It connects to your computer via USB 2.0. The F70 EXR measures at 3.9 x 2.3 x 0.9 inches and weighs 180g. The size and weight make it great for taking anywhere you go. Fujifilm FinePix F70 EXR will be available for $279 in August of this year.

  1. Whereis the review?

All I read was the Manufactor's product description, nothing else.

Isn't using the word review to describe this press release blurb somewhat misleading?

  3. This camera is amazing at the price and worth even more than the under three hundred retail.
The extensive menu selections are easy to navigate and offer quick exit when ready to shoot.

  5. I'm finding it very difficult to get clear shots....majority of mine are all blurry or fuzzy. I don't get it. I depress the shutter button halfway so that it can focus and everything. Plus, it loves to default to the 1600 ISO which I HATE.

  6. I totally agree with the above comment regarding blurry or fuzzy photos. I bought a Fuji F70EXR a few days ago in too much of a hurry and it seems to be incapable of taking clear & in focus photos of cars which is what i need it to do. Too late I read the online manual (page 23) where it refers to difficulty focussing on shiny (or moving) subjects and recommends using the focus lock (page 22 http://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/manuals/pdf/index/f/finepix_f70exr_manual_01.pdf

The flash is also totally inadequate....I miss my 5yr old Sony Cybershot (R.I.P.) that did these very basic functions so well..
