Point of View Mobii netbook review

The Point of View Mobii ION 230 runs on NVIDIA's ION platform and Intel's Atom N230 processor, Since they are both very energy efficient the Mobii ION 230 can have great battery life without sacrificing any performance. Other than the NVIDIA ION GPU the Mobii ION 230 has the usual specifications of a netbook with 1 GB of ram, a 160 GB hard drive, a 10.2 inch LCD display with a resolution of 1024x600, and a built-in 1.3 megapixel webcam. The Mobii ION 230 also packs Bluetooth 2.0 , WiFi b/g, 2 USB 2.0 ports, a LAN port, Realtek HD audio, and a HDMI port if the 10.2 inch screen isn't enough for you. The SD card slot lets you directly upload photos from your camera to your netbook. The 6 cell battery lets you have up to 4 hours of battery life. This netbook stands out from the crowd because its so energy efficient. The NVIDIA ION GPU and Intel Atom CPU utilize minimal power so you can enjoy up to 4 hours of videos, office documents, or web browsing. The NVIDIA ION GPU also lets you seamlessly playback full 1080p video. Its not great for gaming but you really can't expect much for a netbook. The Mobii ION 230 will run Linux, although there is no word on what distribution it will be, and will be available in green, red, and black. You can get the Mobii ION 230 for €349 or $495 when it hits the market in the next few months, no word on the exact release date yet.
