PsiXpda have released their latest UMPC (ultra mobile PC) and dubbed it the ultimate pocket computer. The specifications seem to agree. The PsiXpda is powered by an Intel Atom processor with a clock speed of 1.1 GHz. It offers a 5 inch touch screen display with a resolution of 800x480. In terms of memory it has 1GB of RAM and a 16GB SSD. There is also a microSD card slot for additional memory. The connectivity options of the PsiXpda are also great with Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi 802.11g, and optional 3G. There is also a VGA webcam facing towards the user, 2 USB ports, one of which is mini USB, a built in speaker and microphone, and a 2.5mm headphone jack. Another great feature is the full, backlit, slide-out keyboard. The battery life of the PsiXpda is rated at 4 hours without any wireless connectivity and about 2.5 hours while browsing the internet over WiFi. All this measures up at 174x84x25mm and weighs only 430 grams. The features are amazing but the price is pretty hefty at about $821. The PsiXpda is just too expensive for a large majority of people and since its specifications are similar to those of some smartphones, which are much cheaper, it probably won't cater to a large majority of people.
