
Canon iVIS HF21 Canon iVIS HF S11
Canon Japan has just unveiled two new camcorders,the Canon iVIS HF21 and iVIS HF S11. They both have 64 GB of internal memory and a SDHC card slot. They can record at up to 24Mbps full HD and can record six hours of 24Mbps 1920x1080 full HD footage to their internal memory. They also use Canon's DIGIC DV III Video processor. The Canon iVIS HD S11 is capable of producing 8 megapixel still images while the Canon iVIS HF21 is capable of 4 megapixel still images. They both also have optical image stabalization and face detection along with a 2.7 inch LCD display. The iVIS HF21 has 15x optical zoom while the iVIS HD S11 has 10x optical zoom. The connectivity options on both of them are USB, an AV port, headphone and microphone inputs, and a HDMI output. There is also an optional underwater kit for the iVIS HF21. Both of them will go on sale in Japan August of this year and will probably come to the US shortly after. There is also no word on pricing yet.
