hField Technologies have introduced a new version of the Wi-Fire which is 40 percent smaller and 30 percent lighter that previous versions. The Wi-Fire (otherwise known as the HFWFG200) promises a stable WiFi connection from up to 1,000 feet away. hField Technologies have also added support for Linux and OS X systems. Unfortunately the Wi-Fire is an 802.11b/g device which means that you won't see 802.11n connection speeds. It connects to your computer via a USB cable and can be attached to your laptop screen or simply placed on any flat surface. You can get the Wi-Fire now for $59.
