The Sony Ericsson C905 is the latest addition to Sony Ericsson's Cyber-shot line. It has been released on AT&T and some other carriers. It has tons of features like an 8.1 megapixel camera with autofocus, face detection, image stabilization, photo fix, flash, geo-tagging, red eye reduction, and lots of other camera features. It also has built-in aGPS, WiFi, a 2.4 inch, FM radio, and Bluetooth 2.0. The C905 has 160 MB of built-in memory and uses Sony Ericsson's M2 memory card, which is highly inconvenient for those microSD card users out there. It comes with a 2 GB M2 card in the box but supports up to 8 GB. The FM radio with RDS lets you listen to music without uploading MP3s to your phone and TrackID (which is found on most Sony Ericsson phones nowadays) lets you identify what song you are listening to, whether it is on the radio or one of you unknown MP3s. The C905 also supports 3D gaming, and allows you to use the accelerometer on the phone for games too. The accelerometer can also be used to auto-rotate the screen or camera. You can also get video calling on the C905 so you can talk face-to-face. You will need a compatible network and the person that you are calling will need to have a video calling enabled phone. Luckily AT&T allows you to add video calling to your plan and also offers a lot of phones with support for video calling. The camera is the main feature on this phone since it is a Cyber-shot. The C905 has a 8.1 megapixel camera with a ton of features like autofocus, BestPic (which lets you take 7 photos at once and choose the best one), up to 16x digital zoom, face detection, geo-tagging, image stabilization, photo fix, photo light, red-eye reduction, picture blogging, automatic light and color balance, Smile Shutter (which automatically takes a photo when your subject smiles), video recording, video light, video blogging, video stabilizer, and Xenon flash. The lens cover on the camera prevents dust, water, and your finger from smudging the lense. There is also a The built-in Assisted GPS on the C905 lets you get a faster fix by downloading information from the cell network. The C905 comes with a trial of Wayfinder Navigator 7, so you can navigate free for the first 2 weeks. It also comes with Google Maps which is also great for navigating. Of course, it also has Java with MIDP 2.0 so that you can install any mobile application you want. PlayNow arena also lets you have instant access to music games, and more. The C905 is a 3G enabled phone which means that in areas with 3G coverage you can get faster web browsing, email, messaging, and other applications that use the web. The C905 also has quad-band GSM so that you can use it around the world. The C905 comes with a great web browser that has lots of browsing options. If you don't like it you can always download Opera mini or whatever your favorite mobile web browser may be. The applications that come pre-installed on the C905 are also pretty cool, they include Need for Speed Pro Street Chess, and Tennis Multiplayer. Need for Speed utilizes the accelerometer by letting you steer your car by tilting the phone. Of course it does also come with some navigation the navigation software that we mentioned before. The messaging options on the C905 are email, SMS, MMS, and instant messaging, which is pretty much everything. The C905 measures at 4.1 x 1.9 x 0.7 inches, which is a little big, but for the features its not bad. It weighs 136g which is also not bad. It is available in night black, ice silver, copper gold, and tender rose. The big letdown is the price at $180 with a 2 year contract from AT&T. The good thing is that since it isn't a smart phone the data plan will cost you less. Overall the C905 is a great phone with a lot of features. The camera is amazing, which is to be expected for a Cyber-shot phone, and it has all of the other features that you could ever ask for.
