The Google Nexus One finally has some sales results in and the numbers aren't good. According to Flurry just 20,000 Nexus Ones were sold in its first week released, this is compared to the 1,600,000 of the iPhone, the 250,000 of the Motorola Droid, and the 60,000 of the myTouch 3G. These results aren't good at all but this is most likely Google's own fault. Google hasn't made much of an attempts to get the Nexus One very much press coverage and they haven't had much advertising either. The competitors listed on this chart put out TV, magazine, and web advertisements to get build up for the and media coverage while Google just had some web advertisements and a link on the Google search page. There is much speculation about why the sales figures are so low but my opinion is that they should just put more money into advertising. Feel free to discuss your opinion in the comments.
