New Traffic Light Concept Is Amazing Yet Unlikely
Have you ever been approaching a traffic light, the light is yellow, and you don't have any idea whether you will be able to make it or not? Well, this new traffic light concept could put an end to all that. The concept is an hourglass shaped traffic light that changes colors between red, yellow, and green, just like usual. The unusual part about the concept is that the colors flow through the hourglass to indicate how much time you have left until the light changes. In one of the images below this post you will also see that there is also a numerical representation of how much time you have left. This concept could potentially be both a very good idea and a very bad idea. On one side, it could be a good thing because it would help drivers to know how much time they have left until the light changes, which would make less drivers accidentally drive through a red light. Overall, it would make driving much easier for drivers and much safer. On the other side, the concept could be a bad idea because it could cause drivers to think that they could make it through the traffic light when they really can't, which would cause a crash. Dangerous drivers could also run more red lights because they think they could make it. There are both many upsides and many downsides to this concept, but it probably won't ever happen in the first place so that we can see how it works out. There are many reasons for this. First of all, it would be way too expensive to replace all of the traffic lights in the United States, or in any other country for that matter, with these new traffic lights. Also, it could cause lawsuits because drivers would say that they ran the red light because the traffic light said that they had enough time. There are many reasons why this concept can't and won't happen, but if it did it would probably be really cool.
