Averatec's Lookie packs a lot of power into a small, portable package. The Lookie is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, has a 250 GB hard drive, and runs Windows 7. It also has an HDMI port, a built in webcam, and a battery that promises up to 6 hours of run time. The Lookie is just 0.5 centimeters thin and weighs just 1.4 kilograms. Currently the Lookie is only available in Korea but it might make its way to the US or Europe. In Korea you can purchase it for 799,000KRW, or about $711.
Averatec has been on a roll this month releasing 2 desktops and a laptop. Its new thin and light N3400 laptop, also known as the N3440TH1E-1, has been released. The Averatec N3400 has the usual specifications of an ultraportable notebook with a 13.3 inch LCD display, an Intel Pentium Dual Core T3400 mobile processor with a clock speed of 2.16 GHz, and 3GB of RAM for all of your multitasking needs. It also has a 4-in-1 memory card reader, integrated Intel GMA X4500HD graphics, a built-in 1.3 megapixel camera, 250 GB hard drive, 802.11n wireless LAN, and built-in Bluetooth connectivity. The N3400 also has 3 USB 2.0 ports, audio in/out, an ethernet port, and VGA output. The N3400 also comes with Windows Vista Home Premium and weighs a total of 3.08lbs. It is also bundled with an external DVD burner. The Averatec N3400 has the specifications to do almost all tasks, including some games that aren't very graphic intense. TriGem have released a new all-in-one computer in their D1100 series. The AMD based Averatec D1133AH1E-1 (or D1133 for short) is the newest all-in-one PC on the market and features an 18.4 inch screen and an 1.5GHz AMD Athlon X2 3250e CPU. It also has all of the usual features like built-in wireless LAN 802.11g, an ethernet port, DVD burner, 4 USB 2.0 ports, a DVI output, and a 4-in-1 card reader. The 250 GB hard drive is great for storing photos, videos, documents, and more and the built-in 1.3 megapixel webcam is great for video chatting and making videos. 2GB of RAM lets you multitask with ease. The 18.4 inch LCD display has a native resolution of 1680x945. There is also audio in/out ports and eSata for connecting hard drives. The operating system on the D1133AH1E-1 is Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit edition. The Averatec D1133AH1E-1 also has a standard VESA mount on the back so you can mount it up on the wall in rooms with limited space. The D1133AH1E-1 doesn't have many features that set it apart from all of the other all-in-one desktops out there but that doesn't mean that it isn't a great system. The 64-bit OS prevents it from running some software but that can be easily fixed with a quick re-install. Other than that the D1133AH1E-1 is great for videos, photos, web browsing, email, office tasks, and more.
