AT&T Agrees to Unlock All Phones

AT&T has now agreed to unlock all of the phones that they offer at absolutely no cost, all except for the iPhone. Most other GSM carriers already offer this so AT&T should probably have been offering it a long time ago, but it is a welcome addition. And the fact that they will not unlock the iPhone was expected, obviously. They will unlock all prepaid phones instantly if you can provide proof of purchase, and all post paid phones if you have at least 90 days of active service. One exception is for phones which AT&T has an exclusivity agreement for. For those phones you will have to wait for at least 10 months since the phone was released.

VTech LS6245 review

VTech's LS6245 offers a solution for those of you with a landline and cell phone. The LS6245 is a DECT 6.0 cordless phone with some extra features. It can function as a normal phone but can also be paired with a Bluetooth cell phone to make a virtual second line. This will allow you to take a call from your land line on the base station's speakerphone and a call from the cell phone line from the handset. You can also add up to 12 additional handsets to the setup. The LS6245 can be paired to up to 8 Bluetooth devices. Another nice feature is that it has touch technology, no buttons here. The LS6245 features dual caller ID, call waiting, handset and base speakerphones, a large backlit LCD display, and up to 14 minutes of recording on the answering system. The LS6245 sure is a feature filled phone. The base station will cost you $80 and you can get additional handsets for $40 each.
